The City of Centennial was recently named by the Military Times as one of the Best Places to Live for Veterans.
Centennial ranked No. 5 among medium-sized cities in the U.S. for veterans, according to the publication, which issued its Military Times Best lists on Sept. 10.
The 2019 Best for Vets: Places to Live rankings looked at nearly 600 places, as designated by the Census Bureau, for veteran and military culture and services, economic indicators and livability factors. The list also considered veteran employment trends, cost of living, proximity to Veterans Affairs health facilities and the quality of schools in the area.
Centennial was the only city in Colorado to appear in the top 10 of the medium-sized cities list. According to the Military Times list, 8.7 percent of Centennial’s adult population are veterans with a median income level of $57,648.
