Revamped and revved up, the Rist Canyon Mountain Festival will be packed with fun and entertainment like never before. The popular outdoor fair, with free admission and free parking, will be held 10 am – 4 pm Saturday, September 8, at 11835 Rist Canyon Road (opposite the main firehouse).
“It’s going to be a family-fun good time,” said Festival Coordinator H.J. Siegel. “We’ve updated the annual tradition for a fabulous end-of-summer celebration. All are welcome for a spectacular day on a beautiful mountain meadow.” Highlights include live music, arts and crafts booths, silent auction, children’s games, farm animals, used book sale, plant sale, fire-fighter demos, educational booths, refreshment vendors, and free ice cream. Celebrated singer/son-writer Liz Barnez will perform her eclectic style of music, affectionately known as acoustic swamp groove.
The Festival is the major fundraiser for the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department (RCVFD).
All-volunteer and 100% donation based, the RCVFD provides emergency, medical, and fire services to over 100 square miles northwest of Fort Collins.
Tax-deductible donations can be sent to RCVFD Treasurer, PO Box 2, Bellvue, CO 80512 or made by PayPal or credit card at www.RCVFD.org. RCVFD is also a participant in the Amazon Smile program and King Soopers rewards card. For more information, visit rcvfd.org.
