The Assistance League of Greeley awarded 17 scholarships to single parents that will attend Aims Community College or the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) College.
The scholarship program began in 1991 and has awarded over $781,000 in scholarships to single parents. Funds are raised through the Assistance League’s all volunteer organization’s upscale thrift store, The Bargain Box.
The recipients must be a resident of Weld County, a custodial parent with a minor child living at home at least 50% of the time and maintain a 3.0 (undergraduate or 3.5 (graduate) grade point average.
