The Elder Care Network of Northern Colorado presents the 14th annual Larimer County Senior Law Day on Saturday, August 4 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Registration begins at 8:00 am.
Co-chaired by Kate Spruiell of Ability Home Health Care and Irish Martin-Danhoff of FirstLight Homecare, the event is at Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center, 1101 Center Avenue Mall in Fort Collins.
Attendees can choose from 12 sessions that include tenant rights, VA benefits, elder fraud and scams, guardianship and conservatorship, wills and trusts, domestic violence in elderly, Medicaid and longterm care planning, and more.
This year’s keynote lunch presentation is “Medical Marijuana – Legal Issues.” presented by Adam Foster, attorney and partner with Hoban Law Group in Denver.
Adam is a business lawyer and mediator. He has been representing licensed marijuana and industrial hemp companies since 2010. Adam developed the Colorado Supreme Court – Colorado Attorney Mentoring Program’s first cannabis law program in 2018 and served as the Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Colorado Bar Assoc. from 2015-2017.
Over 30 vendors display products and services during this event. Additional information is provided in tote bags from all sponsors about their products and services.
Registration is required; however, there is a $10 per person suggested donation. Registration includes lunch, sessions, and a copy of Colorado’s current Senior Law Handbook published by the Colorado Bar Assoc.
