Christine Damm was born February 28, 1916, in Froid, Montana to Jacob and Elizabeth (Luft) Damm. She was raised on a homestead farm with mother Elizabeth, stepfather Edward Kaschube (Pa) along with four sisters and four brothers. She went to a country school and never missed a day of school for 8 years.
She came to Sterling and married Clarence Richard Dick in 1936. They had four children, Alan wife Becci, Gary wife Rose, Kathy husband Eddie Gallagos and Vicki Husband Gary Akin. She has 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Christine cooked for schools and restaurants. She worked in Safeway stores, and for Bayly’s manufacturing in Greeley for 12 years. She operated The Drive In Cafe in Haxtun from 1962-1968.
She enjoys crossword puzzles, church service, being with family and watching Bronco games. She has been a Bronco fan for many years.
