Spalding specializes in treating patients recovering from strokes, traumatic brain Injuries, amputations, spine injuries and surgeries, orthopedic, neurologic and general debility conditions.
Spalding, an Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation level of care, is for patients who: require daily monitoring by a physician, require 24 hours nursing care, have functional disabilities that can be helped by rehabilitation and can tolerate 3 hours of therapy a day, 5 days a week. Therapies offered include: physical therapy, occupational therapy and if necessary speech and language therapy which includes cognitive rehabilitation. Every patient receives an individually designed treatment program based on their specific therapeutic needs that also takes into consideration the discharging environment.
Spalding offers a variety of amenities to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. All patients stay in large private rooms with private baths. All rooms offer wireless internet. Patients enjoy buffet style family dining. We have flexible visiting hours and allow pet visits. Spalding now offers a Life Gym where patient practice rehabilitative skills for reintegrating into community environments. In this gym patients can practice car transfers in a real car, eating in a simulated restaurant and shopping in a simulated grocery store. The goal is to not only return patients home but into their communities as well.
